I think you're correct....if you are an independant, you are viewed as being indecisive because you don't live on the left completely or on the right completely. There were so many people complaining on the Michigan conservative radio station, which my co-worker listens to religously, about how the independants should not be allowed to vote because they aren't educated. I argued they are MORE educated than many voters because they have actually studied the issues and made their decisions off all the information; not just drinking the Kool-Aid
