Probstisms: Election 2008

  • Uncle Terry · 1 year ago
Any update on the possible electioneering going on at the Probst house? Has Adler "gone rogue?" Does Kyah think Sara Palin is pretty? And that McCain is SCARY like Frankenstein? :)
  • Donnell Probst · 1 year ago
I sufficiently zipped up my fleece jacket to hide my love for Obama at the polls - shortly after tormenting the McCain crowd with my electioneering tactics and right before I stepped up to the table. I was in full violation of the 25 foot "no electioneering" radius! Rock!

The Probst troops are in full Obama gear... see Adler's support on my Facebook wall. I will send you our final tally of the non-hillbilly Probst vote from the bellweather state of MO. I used one of them fancy "electronic" voting machines that the McCain supporter behind me in line announced he would NOT be using - because "you can't trust them things." He opted for a traditional paper ballot... that will be tallied by a fellow hillbilly. Ahhhh, gotta love the rationale of a McCain supporter.

Any chance this is over before 9. The Shield is on at 9 and if you have not watched it you are really missing out. I better set my DVR.
  • Probstisms · 1 year ago
Better set that DVR, BigD. This is going to be a long night.
  • Uncle Terry · 1 year ago
Yes, make sure you record everything for later! We're glued to CNN. Only cuz we ain't got MSNBC.
  • Probstisms · 1 year ago
Dude, no MSNBC? I don't know what I would have done without MSNBC for the last two years.
  • BigD · 1 year ago

  • BigD · 1 year ago
I was just checking out the lazy revolution and even a republican such as myself can admit Donnell makes the Obama Biden t-shirt sexy!!!!!!
  • Probstisms · 1 year ago
Yes indeed, I must agree. Of course, I think I am required by law to have this opinion.
  • BigD · 1 year ago
Now these are the real arguements that could have swayed my vote, not your Barack lovefest. Too late.
  • Probstisms · 1 year ago
After all those years at Iowa, I suppose I should have known how to get your vote. Well, now I know how to win another Democratic vote in 2012.
  • BigD · 1 year ago
This msnbc thing is broken. Even fox news shows barack ahead 77-21.
  • Probstisms · 1 year ago
The 8:00 PM EST poll closings have given Obama a nice lead, but it is early folks. If you're out on the West coast and haven't voted, please get out and vote! Regardless of who you vote for, get to the polls. In MO, we had state constitution amendments and all sorts of propositions on the ballot. Vote!!!
  • Donnell Probst · 1 year ago
I want Howard Dean to take the pole out of his ass...
  • Probstisms · 1 year ago
Yeah, what ever happened to the wacky guy from 2004? That Howard Dean was so much more fun. I bet he goes nuts at the after party if Obama wins.
  • Uncle Terry · 1 year ago

    Kristin is managing Facebook.

    I've got the L-Rev.

    Franklin is whining for snacks.
  • Donnell Probst · 1 year ago
So, we have the television babysitting our children while we watch the polling results... Noah just called into us and said "Mommyyyyyy, I'm watching something that's not appropriate for me!" Ahahahahahaha!
  • BigD · 1 year ago
probably a republican pep rally. So brainwashed yet so cute!
  • Probstisms · 1 year ago
You wouldn't believe how hard we have to work to make sure the "saved" don't brainwash him completely. I am a strong believer in providing information from all sides and then allowing the kids to make their own decisions.
  • BigD · 1 year ago
I say brainwash him all you want. You may need him to change your diapers some day.
  • Probstisms · 1 year ago
Too true. Still can't believe I'm half way to 70. That's nuts!
  • Uncle Terry · 1 year ago
    Noah rules!

Who is BigD? Noah is not brainwashed - he is enlightened!

  • Donnell Probst · 1 year ago
I need like four TV's just to keep up...
  • BigD · 1 year ago
    Tim,

You now know what to get her for christmas.

I wish Jacie was that easy.
  • Uncle Terry · 1 year ago
    52 Senate seats for Democrats!
  • BigD · 1 year ago
This scares me more than the possibility of Barack becoming president.
  • Donnell Probst · 1 year ago
That made me laugh a little.
  • Probstisms · 1 year ago
Oh, BigD, don't be afraid. Everything will work out for everyone, and if the Dems do not take this new responsibility seriously, the 2010 elections will not be kind.
  • Donnell Probst · 1 year ago
Did anyone just see the lady on MSNBC refer to the "sucking noise" we'll hear when there is a new President? Ahahahaha! That was funny!
  • BigD · 1 year ago
Does this refer to the new 1st lady performing her presidential duties??
  • Donnell Probst · 1 year ago
    Possibly...
  • BigD · 1 year ago
It's a confusing day.. There are polls and then there are poles. I'm confused, I'll try to get up to speed.
  • Probstisms · 1 year ago
    Thanks!
  • Donnell Probst · 1 year ago
So serious! You could be a CNN/MSNBC/Fox... wait, scratch Fox... commentator! I think they are still looking for a permanent replacement for Tim Russert!
  • Donnell Probst · 1 year ago
    WOOOOO-HOOOOOOOOOO O-H-I-O!!!
  • Donnell Probst · 1 year ago

  • Donnell Probst · 1 year ago
    Where did everybody go???
  • BigD · 1 year ago
    Sorry a bit distracted here.

I'm still trying to figure out how to become the recipient of this "sucking noise".
  • Uncle Terry · 1 year ago

    bad news
    - I might have to visit lovers lane to purchase some supplies that make living under Obama as president and a democratic majority in both the house and senate easier.
  • Probstisms · 1 year ago
Well, I suppose things could be worse.
  • Donnell Probst · 1 year ago
    GROSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Uncle Terry · 1 year ago

  • Uncle Terry · 1 year ago
Look for Kennon;s red hair at Grant Park!
  • Probstisms · 1 year ago
She'll definitely be the easiest person to spot in the crowd. I cannot believe the pictures I'm seeing of Grant Park. It is crazy!
  • BigD · 1 year ago
    Tim

Are you going to record a victory dance when this is over?

Otherwise I'm going to bed early.
  • Donnell Probst · 1 year ago
I told Tim that he needs to bust out the trumpet and record "Taps" for the Republicans...
  • Probstisms · 1 year ago
I was thinking I would perform a funeral dirge on the piano, but then I remembered that I don't know how to play the piano very well.

It's over. I can;t believe this whole ting is over! And we won. So sweet, so sweet.
  • Probstisms · 1 year ago
Watching Senator McCain graciously conceding the election to Senator Obama. McCain is a good American. He has served his country well. As I have said before, his campaign lead him down the wrong path. He very well could have run a campaign of hope and promise as I believe he would have run had he had the choice. It is a shame that the people in charge of his campaign did not embrace McCain's strengths, and it is a shame that in order to become President as a Republican in 2008, he had to run the campaign that he ran. For the sake of the country, Obama will need to make sure McCain is involved in his administration in one way or another. Judging by the booing being done at the concession speech, there is a lot of healing to be done.
  • BigD · 1 year ago
So what happened?????? Where is the victory dance video?? Did anyone here that "sucking sound"?
